North End Editing offers both copyediting and proofreading services.

Copyediting projects are done at an earlier phase of document
development. Copyediting includes marking grammatical and spelling
mistakes, questioning awkward phrasing and inconsistencies, and
ensuring details and facts are correct. Copyediting projects can go
through 2-3 rounds of revision.

Proofreading projects are done at a more finalized stage of the
document. Proofreading can be one final review of the document,
double-checking the near-final document even after another editor
may have reviewed. Proofing can also include projects that compare
factual data (like information from an Excel spreadsheet or Word
document) to the information included in the document. Proofreading
projects can go through 1-2 rounds of revision.

Pricing is determined on a project-by-project basis. Typical pricing is
$40-60 per hour (or $5-$15 per page) depending on the materials
provided.
